Vintage book On the great black rock Olwen Bowen whitcombe’s & Tombs G2635 PUTW

This is a vintage soft cover book  called “On the great black rock” an illustrated  by Ernest Aris. This book is for ages 8-10 years of age, and printed by Whitcombe and Tombs Limited. There is no date sighted on the book, but I wouls ay it is circa 1930s-1940s. It has fabulous black and white illustrations through the book. There are some tears in the soft cover, especially on the bottom binding. There is also yellowing to the pages, and some age marks throughout. The pages are all attached to the binding.  Please refer to the photographs.
