Vintage Brigitte Doege & Hilde Eitel wallpaper Marburg large sample book 1975

This is a museum piece, and I doubt you find anything like it. This large sample book of wallpapers is from 1975. The artists,  Brigitte Doege , who is a renowned German artist, who majored in product design and painting, and in 1985, started her own porcelain collection, which has been exhibited around the world.

Hilde Eitel (1915-2010), worked for her German Family wallpaper buisness, Marburger Tapetenfabrik, which started in 1845.

This book is quite large and heavy, and was used to travel to homes to show the designs that could be purchased, back in 1975. They are fabulous, bold and bright.

It holds 51 different types of patterned wall paper. It has some amazing photographs, with wallpaper and furniture of the time. There are some age spots on the first few pages and last pages, but the wall paper in the book is in excellent condition. The front cover which is in plastic also shows some minor wear and creases.

If you are looking for a retro collectors piece, than look no further. Please refer to the photographs.
