Vintage Astor record player/radio Bakelite: not fully functioning

This is a fabulous Astor record player/ radio. Please read carefully, as this is not fully functional or complete. The original record player has been taken out, and replaced with a Garrad player. The turn table spins, but has not been tested. I think that the person who replaced the “original” record player may have taken out the original speakers inside the case.  Therefore the radio has not been tested, and at this point, I will say does not work. The radio dial lights up, and the right hand dial lights up all different colours too. The case is really in fantastic condition for its age, but again, does show some minor imperfections. It is missing the front “Astor badge”, There is a small chip, bottom left hand side of the front of the case. some minor scratches. but that looks to be it. Either buy it to restore, or its a fabulous display piece. This is a pick up item only, as it is too heavy and delicate. I am happy to work with a courier that you organise.
