Vintage Garnite cake tin biscuit barrel Bakelite canister yellow storage LYLBT1

This is a beautiful mid century cake box. It is either made from some sort of plastic or it could be Bakelite. It is a lemon yellow colour, with a white lid. I can not see a makers mark on the container. It is in excellent condition for its age. A few hair line fractures around the edge, but very minor. On the white lid there are two marks which can be seen in the photographs. The handle is, it says, Cake box. Please refer to the photographs
