Vintage cake tin biscuit barrel canister baby blue LYLBT2

This is a beautiful mid century cake box. It is either made from some sort of plastic or it could be Bakelite. It is a baby blue colour, with a white lid. I can not see a makers mark on the container. It is in excellent condition for its age. A few hair line fractures around the edge, but very minor. On the white lid where the handle is, it says, Cake box. Please refer to the photographs
