Vintage Animal fur pelt taxidermy

This is a very large vintage fur pelt.  I have no idea what animal this has come from. The fur is very long, thick and  bristly and thought it may have come from an Alpine animal.  This item came from a group lot of American Indian items, which also include a bow and arrow, a huge American Indian statue.  It may have been used as a display of some sort.  The fur is old and does molt, as shown in a photograph of my cow hide rug of reminants of fur on the ground which has come loose. It has been hand stitched pieces of fur together. There are some splits in the skin around the edges, but overall in good condition  Please refer to the photographs and dimensions.
