Victorian Damchiya dowry chest, India steam trunk 1800s

This is a late 1800’s, Indian Damchiya dowry chest.  It is huge, and did have the original wheels which broke off. It has been used for storage and caster wheels have been placed on the bottom (made in Germany  and can be removed ) for easy moving. We still have the original axels, carved from wood! The hole trunk is made from very old thick hard wood, and has cast iron straps holding the wooden panels, and heavy cast iron hinges and locking mechanisms at the front where padlocks can be placed. Pressed tin panels have been placed on the front,  and there must have been a hole in one corner as an old Indian motor oil tin has patched up a hole.  Over the years there has been some small handy work to strengthen loose wood panels, especially on one side of the top of the chest,  but it just adds to it’s journey and history.  In texcellent all original condition, they are worth over $7000 AUD. This is a rare piece. Please refer to the photographs.
