Vintage 1990s Canterbury NZ Australia Made Colour Block Rugby Shirt XL 🦩

Fantastic circa 1990s vintage Canterbury of New Zealand rugby shirt, made in Australia, featuring a striking multicoloured colour-block / patchwork design.

The shirt combines bold panels of red, green, pale blue and black, with the asymmetrical colour blocking continuing across the long sleeves and around the back. It has a contrasting white traditional rugby collar, button placket and ribbed cuffs, giving it that unmistakable 1990s rugby and streetwear look.

The iconic Canterbury CCC logo is embroidered in white on the chest.

The original woven neck label remains attached and reads:

Dating from approximately the 1990s, this is a great example of Canterbury’s bold colour-block sportswear from the era. A near-identical vintage Canterbury shirt in a smaller size has also surfaced on the resale market, supporting the 1990s attribution.

Condition

The shirt is in vintage pre-owned condition with signs of age and previous wear.

There is general fading and colour variation to the fabric, along with scattered small marks and areas of discolouration. The white collar shows noticeable age-related yellowing/discolouration and marking, as photographed.

There are also some marks to the coloured panels and sleeves, together with general surface wear and creasing consistent with age and previous use.
