Vintage Mid century Books Lands and Peoples encyclopedia Grolier Society complete set AGt2

This is a complete set of Land and Peoples by Grolier Society printed in 1949. They have a fantastic front cover on each book, Navy blue leather bound, seven in total. They are in fabulous condition, except Volume one, British Isles and Western Europe. It looks like the silver fish have had a scrumptious read on the first 18 pages. with nibbling on the edges and there are some slight marks on the front hard covers. Beautiful coloured and black and white photographs throughout, and a very interesting read. It is facinating stepping back in time on how the world was seen in the 1940s. They would also make a great display piece on any bookshelf.
