Vintage book The Mysterious Airport by S. Beresford Lucas 1946?

This is a vintage book called “The Mysterious Airport”  by S. Beresford Lucas which I think was published in 1946 by the Children’s Press. his is a hard cover and has a dust jacket which is glued to the cover. There is wear and tear on the cover, which can be seen in the photographs. It has amazing cover graphics. There is some writing on the first page, given as a gift in 1946. All the pages and spine are in tact. Please refer to the photographs.
