Vintage book The lane that had no turning by Gilbert Parker early 1900’s OT1A

$40.00

This is a  hard cover book , ” The lane that had no turning”,  by Gilbert Parker early 1900′  , published by Thomas Nelson and Sons. This book was turned into a silent movie in 1922. Parker was a Canadian writer who wrote a number of bestsellers that had a lasting influence on Canadian literature, but whose importance for his time is now largely overlooked. One of the prime examples of his art is the short story collection The Lane that had no Turning, which is a series of short stories set in the fictional provincial town of Pontiac in Quebec. I can’t find a date on the book, but I would say it is circa 1900’s. There is slight yellowing of the pages, but the binding is all in tact.  Please refer to the photographs.
