Vintage book Great tales of Youth Five centuries of Famous Stories 1935?

This is an old book called ”  Great tales of Youth Five centuries of Famous Stories”. The stories were selected and arranged by Hugh Walpole & Wilfred Partington 1935?I found the date on the National Library of Australia.

The book is a hard cover and in fairly good condition. The first two pages are slightly loose off the binding and age spots on the edge and yellowing of pages. There are great black and white illustrations in the book. It has 1021 pages of children’s stories.
